I am a compassionate, supportive catalyst for healing, growth and change. I support people to feel better about themselves, meet their goals, improve their relationships, reduce stress and heal from past losses and traumas. I have a holistic, eclectic approach, using a variety of techniques tailored to each individual's needs. I support clients to heal and integrate mind, body and spirit.

I have been a licensed psychotherapist in private practice since January, 1990. Prior to that I worked in social service, nonprofit agencies, crisis facilities, and school/day-care settings for twenty years.

I offer individual psychotherapy and counseling to adults and highly sensitive children. Short-term, problem focused counseling and long-term emotional therapy are both available. I see clients in my peaceful, wheelchair-accessible home office setting in the redwoods of Soquel, just south of Santa Cruz, California. I'm also available for short-term telephone counseling, coaching and consultation when appropriate.

My eclectic, interactive work is informed by humanistic, relational, somatic, transpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems approaches.

I facilitate support groups for Highly Sensitive adults and children. 15-20% of the human and animal population are born with a highly sensitive nervous system. HSPs often have difficulty coping with our high-stimulation culture, but they can come to value the positive qualities of being an HSP.
